make:believe
make : believe is a participatory poster & build-your-own booklet exhibition held at Parallel Brewing Co.
During what felt like a chaotic final semester—thanks in part to Hurricane Helene—I had the privilege of working with an incredibly talented group of classmates on the make : believe exhibition. As part of the marketing and branding team, I was involved in everything from designing promotional materials to physically applying vinyl graphics to the gallery walls—making sure our visual identity carried through from start to finish.
One of the most memorable aspects of the show was how interactive we made it. Guests were invited to create their own personally curated risograph book by selecting from over 40 different pages, each one designed by someone in our class. It gave people a chance to take part in the exhibit in a really personal, hands-on way.
We also sold a limited edition risograph poster, with all proceeds going to the Hurricane Relief Fund through the Project Do Good charity. Despite the challenges that semester brought, we raised $200 and proved just how powerful design can be when it's tied to purpose, collaboration, and community.
